Andrew Spatafora is a Chicago born-and-raised actor and singer. He just recently earned his BFA in Acting from Emerson College in Boston and has trained at The Second City, New York University and Acting Studio Chicago.
In Chicago, Andrew has been seen at The Marriott Theatre, Northlight Theatre and Porchlight Music Theatre. He recently completed the Advanced Scene Study Intensive at Profiles Theatre with Darrell W. Cox and Steppenwolf ensemble member Robert Breuler. At Emerson, Andrew appeared in the original full production of Ryan Scott Oliver and Brett Ryback’s Darling, where he worked closely with Oliver and Ryback along with Grammy Award winner Kurt Deutsch (of Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records) and Tony Award nominee Sheryl Kaller (Mothers and Sons, Next Fall).
Andrew wrote, directed, produced and acted in the comedic short, “Dominique and Andrew for Ellen: The Quest to be Interns,” which was an official selection for The Online Film Festival. As well, Andrew won “Best Actor” at Campus MovieFest for his work in the short film Barnes (Golden Tripod Award, Los Angeles) and was seen as 2nd Lieutenant Wilson in the independent film Cocktail Party, directed by 4-time CINE Golden Eagles Award Recipient Regge Life (The Cosby Show).
Over the years, Andrew has trained with leading professionals of the stage and screen including Adam Belcuore (Goodman Theatre); Bob Mason (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); Jim Corti (Paramount Theatre); 10-Time Jeff Award winner Hollis Resnik; Ken Cheeseman (Joy, David O’Russell; Shutter Island, Martin Scorsese); Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime); Scott Barrow (Tectonic Theater Project); Lee Fierro (Jaws); Second City Training Center Artistic Director Matt Hovde; and NYU professors Michael Ricciardone and John Simpkins. Additionally, Andrew has worked with LA casting directors Kerry Barden (Pitch Perfect, Good Will Hunting), Scott David (Criminal Minds) and Erica Silverman (Star Trek Into Darkness).
